Yes, after all those emails to the person that does the rankings, he's finally giving the Valley some credit.

Good to see the valley represented.
There is no room in your mind for negative thoughts. The busier you keep yourself with the particulars of shot assessment and execution, the less chance your mind has to dwell on the emotional. This is sheer intensity.

Elite Soccer Report National Top 50 FINAL

                  Per Sheldon Shealer:

BIG MOVER: Hanna (Brownsville, Texas). After knocking off No. 18 Alief Elsik in the state semifinals, Hanna had Coppell on the ropes until a late regulation goal and a final-minute OT goal in a 3-2 state final loss. Despite the setback, Hanna moves into the Top 10 for the final ranking.

                  Rank #8 Hanna (Brownsville, Texas) 26-2-3 PR#14
Season complete. Texas Class 5A state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 3,150 students in grades 9-12.
Notes: Carlos Aceveda scored twice, with the second goal giving Hanna a 2-1 lead in what ended up as a 3-2 overtime loss to Coppell. Despite the setback, Hanna’s showing adds to a historically strong run for Valley programs, which has produced three Class 5A champions since 2006. The other five champions since 2006 have come from the Dallas area. Acevedo, Angel De La Garza and Juan Garcia were named to the Texas 5A all-tournament team. The team was coached by Reyes Prado, who was in his first season as head coach following a local legend in Juan de Dios Garcia, who had coached Hanna from 1983 through 2012.
Fun Fact: Hanna opened right after the Easter holiday in 1967. Students had attended Brownsville High School, but when they returned from that break, they were part of Hanna. At one point, Hanna grew to more than 5,000 students before additional high schools in Brownsville were constructed.

I remember when we were close to 5,000 students. We were packed like sardines.
