Congratulations to Valley View and Lopez on representing the Valley at State.

One of the things that get's lost at the tournament is what Valley teams have to overcome and yet they are competitive at this level. Valley teams compete against teams that come from some of the schools that are in some of the highest income areas. This year the exception might have been Houston Lee. Some of these kids get some of the best training and equipment money can buy but yet Valley kids over come this. We should all be proud of them.

Excellent point. It would be interesting to see the players in the RGV get personal trainers and see them develop even further. About the game, the teams were evenly matched and it was a heck of a game played by both teams. Torito did not score but he was the best passer on the field. I had never seen him play before so this was a surprise to me . He was also the best passer during semi final game. Anyhow tigers played a great game , they showed great courage in getting back to state tournament.
