  • 2017 Season

It's that time of the year when the weather turns cold and teams throughout the RGV begin to dream about a state championship. Who is next at making a run at a state title this year?
With realignment comes new foes and new challenges.
Stay tuned folks for another great soccer season in the RGV.

The TASCO 2017 region IV pre- season rankings have Rivera #1 in class 6A, Porter #1 class 5A and Progresso #1 class 4A.
Lots of good teams from Port Isabel all the way to Roma. RGVBOYS1!

So what happened to RGV Futbol? I didn't really like their coverage since it seemed a little biased towards upper valley schools but it was the best source to keep up with scores, schedules and standings.

I do not know what happened to them. I do agree that they were biased but at the same time they did a good job covering soccer. I hope they come back if not hopefully other outlets can write up more. RGVBOYS1
